The Pulchritude of Peonies

As a kid, I remember my grandfather always calling my sister a vision of pulchrituity. While he may have had the spelling and pronunciation of the word wrong, what he was trying to say was that my sister was an exceptionally beautiful girl. In the same vein, I've always reserved to word pulchritude to describe those things I find exceptionally beautiful. Today, the peonies around campus most certainly deserved the label.

  1. Chris, do you know which one the red one is? That is gorgeous and I'd love to have it.

  2. Kylee, I don't. There is a whole row of them planted in front of my office building. They've been there since before I started. They're stunning every year.
